When? Saturday, June 15th
Where? The C’mon Inn in beautiful Bozeman, Montana
Who is it for? Aspiring and experienced writers,
Fiction and nonfiction writers,
Those interested in traditional and/or independent publishing.
We’ll have something for everyone!
What does it take to get published?
Can you just write a book and then sit back and hope that fate will take over?
Will an agent magically cross your path or a publishing company seek you out, begging for your book?
Physically getting published is really just one of the steps
in a long series of preparations that a writer needs to do.
How can a Publishing Conference help?
In the old days, you might have gone to a conference to meet an agent or connect with a publisher
but today you need to have many more tools in your tool kit and a lot more skills
before you interest agents for publishers. More and more traditional publishers are requiring authors to submit a marketing plan along with their book, but you can’t do that if you don’t understand the market.
Where do you get the information and skills you need?
The Get Published Conference for Writers aims to cover topics relevant to today’s writers in today’s market by educating you not only how to make your content the best it can be but to understand how the business of writing and publishing is working today.
This is invaluable for all writers who have published or plan to get published now or in the future.
Some writers are sad to discover there is no magic formula or secret plan to publication – that it’s hard work – but if you have the benefit of knowledge
you can save yourself time, money and frustration. That’s the goal!
This will be our 9th year!
We have a great line-up of relevant, timely topics
and awesome speakers.
